While we do have several dogs and some cats in our facility, located at 4002 Ash Street, De Soto, IA 50069, most our our adoptable dogs and cats are living in foster homes. There they are learning about indoor manners, potty training, and how to be successful in a home. Our adoptables can be found at: Petango.com
Our Adoption Process:
Anyone can come to our building to meet the dogs there. However, because we are allowing strangers into our fosters’ homes, we do require that you complete an adoption application prior to meeting the animals. We need to know who is coming to our private homes.
If you would like more information or to meet one of our adoptable dogs or cats, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Until are online application is back up, we will email an application to complete and return to us.
We go thru a lot to rescue our fur babies, so we want to ensure they get the best home possible. We do not have a first-come-first-serve philosophy. We want to find the best fit for each dog/cat. Therefore, we do a home visit for each of our potential adopters. We aren’t checking for dust! Just checking to make sure it’s the right situation for the dog or cat’s personality. Most times we are able to find a better fit for you if the original choice doesn’t work.
- You must keep your pets in your house (not a garage, shed or barn). After all, they are pack animals and you are the pack leader! They need to be with their pack leader.
- All dogs/cats in the home must be current on vaccinations AND spayed or neutered.
- Fences are generally required. However, all living situations will be considered on a case by case basis.
Don’t forget! Once the adoption is complete, our relationship does not end. We have a Facebook alumni page that’s lots of fun, birthday parties for litters of pups, and we are a continual resource for you for training and medical questions.
